A “mommy makeover” is a combination of procedures designed to redefine the various areas of your body that have been affected by childbirth.

Surgical Procedures

Surgical procedures that help to redefine your body's shape and contour may include one or more of the following:

• Breast lift – This procedure is performed to remove excess skin and tissue, elevate the breasts and reposition the nipples and areolas to provide more youthful, firmer breasts.
• Breast augmentation – This procedure is used to restore contour and shape to the breasts through the placement of implants.
• Liposuction – A procedure in which excess fatty tissue is removed from problem areas on the body that have not responded well to a healthy diet and exercise. These areas include the abdomen, arms and thighs.
• Tummy tuck – A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is performed to remove excess fat and skin from the abdominal area and to tighten the muscles of the abdomen.

Another post-pregnancy problem many new mothers face is problems with the skin. The two most common skin issues are post-baby acne and pregnancy mask. Post-baby acne can be treated through developing a skin care regimen that is tailored to specifically work on your skin. Pregnancy Mask is the condition in which your facial skin is covered with blotches that are a darker pigment from the rest of your skin. This is caused by the high level of estrogen in your body during pregnancy. Bleaching creams and chemical peels work the best on this skin problem.
